Something I have noticed about clients who grow out their hair colour.
Even when the new natural look is working and the client in question is enjoying less commitment plus the condition benefits of forgoing their monthly tint, they often hanker for something just a little different.
There are a number of shampoos which are simple to use and contain an ash or violet tone, Philip Kingsley Pure Silver Shampoo and Conditioner for example, this is probably the most subtle approach.
If more tone or grater longevity are required Semi Permanent Glossing services are available, this would be the next step, Still subtle but longer lasting.
Staying with the all over colour theme, there are colours, which although termed permeant have a translucent effect, rather like using a lip gloss instead of a lipstick. They will still allow some of the character of the natural hair to be present in the end result, which adds to the effect also making any regrowth less obvious.
Probably the most striking whilst maintaining some less is more style would be Partial Permanent Colour. Some clients having grown out a permanent tint find the resulting natural colour slightly too cool and opt for some warmer subtle High Lites.
Of coarse the option for self expression is endless and vibrant colour can be teamed with elegant techniques, for the client who wants to stand out from the crowd whilst keeping the majority of the hair its natural colour.
